Studies indicate that fast food chains and stores selling junk food are commonly found in areas with large minorities. These areas are typically occupied by low income households and therefore, do not have access to nutritious, wholesome food. It is no surpirse that chains such as KFC, Taco Bell, Mcdonald's, etc. are found here. As a result, minorities and those who live in poverty suffer from some of the most prominent health conditions that are found in the U.S. such as heart disease and increased levels of blood sugar.
